Invictus Secondary School receives its Certificate of Provisional Registration from EDB.

Hong Kong - Invictus Secondary School, located in the Chai Wan district, is the newest school under the Invictus International School group to receive its ‘Certificate of Provisional Registration of A School’ from the Education Bureau.

The entire school team has worked tirelessly to attain its certification from the various departments of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which eventually resulted in the attainment of the Certificate of Provisional Registration of A School today (Nov 30).

The Certificate of Provisional Registration is a successful first step for Invictus Secondary School and will allow the school to enrol students for its courses.

Mr Lee Harvey, Founding Principal of Invictus Secondary added: “Receiving this licence is the first step in Invictus Secondary School being the place to go for excellent accessible quality education. I am confident that together with my teachers and the international curricula we utilise, we will be able to offer quality international education to our students.”

Invictus Secondary School will be offering the Cambridge Lower Secondary, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the Cambridge International A-levels curriculum. The IGCSE gives students the freedom to choose a course of study that is right for them and serves to prepare students for the Cambridge International A-Levels.

Unlike other level three qualifications such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), the A-Level curriculum has no specific subject requirements, giving students the opportunity to take any combination of subjects.

“By offering the International A-Level curriculum, we [Invictus] will be a school that offers an alternative to IB by focusing on giving students choice and direction for their next step along their chosen pathways,” added Mr Lee Harvey.
