For Year 7 to Year 9, Invictus utilises the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum. It is a world-renowned program that seeks to provide a broad and balanced education for your children while developing them into learners who are responsible, engaged, reflective, innovative and confident. The different subjects provide students with plenty of opportunities to develop expression, creativity and wellbeing in a variety of ways.
At the end of Year 9, students go through the Cambridge Checkpoint which is an international test taken to evaluate their understanding and skills in English, Mathematics and Science. The tests are designed for students of all cultural and language backgrounds and prepare them for higher qualifications such as the International General Certificate of Secondary Education.
Students from Year 10 to 11 undergo the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum which is an internationally-recognised qualification that prepares students for the Cambridge International A-Levels for entrance to university. Students can choose from a range of subjects that are in line with their further education plans or career goals.
Subjects for the IGCSEs include English, English Literature, Mandarin, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business, Mathematics, Information and Communication Technology, Geography, History and Music.
Students in Year 12 and Year 13 prepare for the Cambridge International A-Level qualification which enables students to apply for most universities globally. It is conferred as part of the General Certificate of Education in the United Kingdom. Most students will pick their subjects based on the degree they wish to pursue in university as most courses require specific A-Level subjects for admission. Universities generally will grant offers based on the grades achieved at the International A-Level exams.
